When you join one of our Far Niente or Nickel & Nickel wine clubs, we want the experience to be easy and enjoyable! To that end, we created a list of Frequently Asked Questions, along with some helpful wine club contacts for you to keep on hand.


Far Niente Family of Wineries Wine Club FAQs:

When do my member benefits begin?

Member benefits begin with the purchase of the current shipment. Tenure benefits are awarded to members and increase the longer you remain a member.

How do I access my account?

Please click “Your Account” at the upper right corner of the website or click here, then log in with your username and passwords to start enjoying your exclusive online member savings!

Will I receive advanced notice of upcoming shipments?

Absolutely. We send email notifications approximately 10 days prior to charging your account for an upcoming shipment. Should you need to update your account information or delay a ship date, please notify us by the deadline provided in your notifications.

When will I receive my first shipment?

Upon joining the club, you will automatically receive the most current shipment, according to the club shipment calendar. Can’t remember what’s on the calendar? For the Far Niente club shipment calendar click here. For Nickel & Nickel’s calendar, click here.

Does someone have to be available to sign for the deliveries?

Yes, someone 21 years or older must be present to sign for the shipments. Shipping to a business address is encouraged, though not required. You may also provide a local UPS store or FedEx Hold at Location address to use and make arrangements for shipments to be received there on your behalf. Please note that we cannot ship to PO Boxes.

How do I add or modify bottles in my shipments?

This How-To Guide is a great resource. We’ll also include a direct link to available wines in each shipment notification. If you don’t see a particular bottle that you were hoping to add, please call our Wine Club specialist line at 707-302-3635.

What happens if my shipment is returned?

The carrier will make three delivery attempts before returning your package. If a shipment is returned, we will contact you to schedule a new delivery date. A $20 return fee, plus the new shipping charges will be applied.

What states can you ship to?

Sometimes it’s easier to tell you where we can’t ship wine. You can find the most up-to-date list here.

Can I re-order an individual wine if I really enjoyed it?

Absolutely. In fact, we extend special 20% savings on the wines in your shipment for 30 days after your wine club shipment arrives, starting with the first bottle. We’ll even send you a special Promo Code for easy online re-ordering.

Can friends and family receive complimentary tours and tastings?

In general, members must be present to receive their complimentary tastings at Far Niente and Nickel & Nickel. However, members do receive four referral tasting passes to each winery per year. If you’d like to use one of your referral passes, please let us know when you’re booking the experience. If members are unable to join their group (and don’t want to use their referral passes), we are happy to extend 50% savings on tasting fees to club member guests, up to a party of 4.

How do I switch clubs or add another club to my existing membership?

If you want to add an additional club to your existing membership, or you simply decide that one of our other wine clubs is a better fit for your palate, please email Shannon at sreilly@farniente.com. She’ll take great care of you.


Far Niente Family of Wineries Shipping FAQs:

What are my shipping savings and details?

Club members now receive $20* flat rate ground and cold chain shipping on their wine club orders.
*$50 flat rate for AK and HI. Additional tenure benefits apply.

How are my wines shipped?

We now have two shipping locations which means members in most cities receive their wines in 2-3 days via ground shipping. In states where it’s too hot to ship ground, we will ship via FedEx cold chain which takes longer but ensures your wine travels to the hub in temperature control at which point it gets upgraded to priority to be delivered by 12pm.

Do you use UPS or FedEx?

Unless you have already specified FedEx for your shipment, we ship our wines via UPS ground. If you’d like to request FedEx, please contact us at 707-302-3635 or contact Shannon at sreilly@nickelandnickel.com.

Wine Club Terms and Conditions

Member benefits begin with the purchase of the current shipment. We suggest that your participation last for at least one full year in order to experience the breadth of our wine portfolio. Tenure benefits are awarded to members and increase the longer you remain a member. Your credit card will be billed and updated for the duration of your membership. Wine club membership is continuous unless a cancellation request is made in 30 days prior to the next shipment.

We cannot ship to PO Boxes. An adult signature is required for delivery by an individual at least 21 years of age. As such we recommend shipping to a business address, a FedEx Hold at Location, or a UPS store that you determine. FedEx and UPS will attempt to deliver 3 times; if no one is available to sign, they will return your package to the winery and the shipment will be re-shipped at members expense plus an additional $20 return fee. Shipping, handling and applicable sales tax will be added to wine total. Shipments are limited to states where the winery is licensed. We reserve the right to put shipments on a “weather hold” during extremely cold or hot weather.
